Showering After Every Workout? How to Keep Your Skin From Drying Out
Two workouts. Two showers. One dry skin problem. If you train every day, sometimes twice, you are showering a lot more than most people, and your skin feels it. Here is how to stop dry skin from showering so often.

Why Showering So Often Dries Your Skin
Every shower rinses away some of the natural oils that keep your skin soft. Hot water takes even more. One shower a day, your skin keeps up. Two a day, most days of the week, and it falls behind. Your shins, arms, and hands usually show it first: tight, itchy, a little ashy.
How to Stop Dry Skin From Showering After Every Workout
Turn the water down. Warm, not hot.
Keep it short. Rinse the sweat off and get out.
Pat dry. Do not rub.
Put body lotion on within a few minutes, while your skin is still a little damp. Every shower, not just the last one of the day.
At night, add body butter to the driest spots: shins, elbows, knees, and heels.

A Note for Prep
Prep makes it worse. As your show gets closer and water gets restricted, your skin has less to work with, so the lotion habit matters even more. Start it now, not during peak week.
When your tan is close, your tanning company's rules about lotion come first.
