How to Use a Shower Steamer After Leg Day

Oct 6
2 min read

Leg day earned this shower. You squatted, you lunged, you did your time on the stair machine, and the walk to the car was the hardest part. The shower afterward is the best ten minutes of your day. A shower steamer makes it better. If you have never used one, here is what a shower steamer is and how to use it. Our hair and skin care game plan for competitors already puts one in your first shower home after a show.

What Is a Shower Steamer?

A shower steamer is a small tablet that sits on the floor of your shower. When water hits it, it fizzes and releases its scent into the steam.

It is not a bath bomb. It does not go in a tub, and it does not go on your skin. It stays on the shower floor and scents the air while you shower.

What it is scented with matters. Some steamers are scented with fragrance oil. Ours are made with real essential oils, not fragrance oil.

How to Use a Shower Steamer

1. Start your shower and let the water warm up.

2. Take one tablet out of the tube with dry hands. Close the tube so the rest stay dry.

3. Set the tablet on the shower floor, off to the side. You want it splashed, not sitting under the full stream. Direct water uses it up fast.

4. Shower the way you always do. The tablet fizzes, and the scent rises with the steam.

5. Use one tablet per shower. When it is gone, rinse the spot where it sat.

Keep the tube outside the shower, somewhere dry. A damp tablet starts fizzing whether you are ready or not.
